Philippine Month of the Ocean: Marine Biodiversity Forum

As part of the Month of the Ocean activities, the event  will tackle status of the country's marine biodiversity focusing on coral reefs; issues and threats faced by the coastal and marine ecosystems; initiatives to addrress these threats and issues from both the government and the partners; multilateral/transboundary programs, marine biodiversity and ecotourism; and the role of social networking on marine biodiversity conservation and protection. The event will also discuss transboundary programs such as the Coral Triangle Initiative and the Sulu Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion program.
