Webinar: "Tell About the Ocean" Bringing Real Stories to the Media

As part of the CT Day webinar series, RS in collaboration with the Coral Triangle Center will be conducting a webinar entitled “Tell About the Ocean” Bringing Real Stories to the Media. The webinar will provide tips on how to promote better marine stories and data to the media, including some tips on how to approach the media and write press releases or story pitches.
The resource person is Ms. Leony Aurora, a communication strategist for sustainability which specializes in media analysis and charting advocacy narratives in mainstream media. She used to work for Jakarta Post, Bloomberg and Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). She had her Masters degree in Environment, Society and Development at the University of Cambridge under a scholarship from the UK government.
Objectives
The webinar will provide tips on how to promote better marine stories and data to the media, including some tips on how to approach the media and write press releases or story pitches.
